Sally Miksiewicz, a life-long resident of Berks County, PA was a 1984 graduate of Moravian College, where she received her B.A. degree in Business Management & Sociology. Sally conquered milestones, in her 52 years. Milestones for herself, family, business, community, and throughout the world. Sally was the CEO and Vice Chairman of East Penn Mfg. (Deka Batteries), one of Berks County’s top employers, in which she worked diligently to move the family business forward in a vastly growing industry. Sally had been recognized throughout the world for these accomplishments. Sally, was well known for her vibrant smile and her loving, passionate, generous, humble personality impacted innumerable lives. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved baking, cooking, wine tasting, singing, hiking, competitive runs, skiing, horseback riding, time spent with family, among many other interests and activities.

On the morning of June 20, 2014, during her regular morning jog, Sally was struck by a motorist, and her journey here ended. A company, community, and family devastated by our loss wish to continue the “run” she began and continue her legacy. What better way than to have a Memorial Run in her name while raising money for one of her life’s deepest passions, helping others to further their education.
